Keeping in mind, this blog is here for the small business’s trying to get a foothold in this mass world called the World Wide Web. So for now, I want to keep it simple and ease you on in to this new world of marketing.
Search Engines are key to the exposure and growth of your site and the internet matures. While your current clients may have knowlege of your company’s site, it’s the new cutomers youre trying to generate thats the key to your growth. Being found on the internet is one of the best ways to finding new client, or getting our new clients to find you. The most popular search engine is Google although it is also important to consider engines such as Yahoo and MSN. There are a plethora of other search engines that are relatively less important, but there are simple techniques that will help ensure your exposure on those sites as well.
Search Engine Management is the umbrella term that encompasses anything technique related to getting your site to rank higher in the search engines. SEM is the acronym for Search Engine Marketing. Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Pay Per Click (PPC) are two sub areas of SEM.
